Tellvara is an AI-powered travel planning tool. You type a destination and a few preferences; Vara — Tellvara's AI — generates a complete day-by-day itinerary for you. These Terms of Service explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what Tellvara is and is not responsible for. No legal maze. Just the facts.

Key things to know upfront:

• Tellvara is free to use, with a quota on the number of plans you can generate.
• Plans are generated by AI. They are for informational purposes only — not professional travel advice. Always verify independently before making any decisions based on a plan.
• You must be 18 or older to use Tellvara.
• Tellvara is operated by an individual based in the Netherlands. Dutch law governs these terms.

Accepting these terms

By accessing or using Tellvara — whether at tellvara.com, app.tellvara.com, or on the iOS or Android app — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Tellvara.

If you are using Tellvara on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Minimum age

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tellvara. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that a person under 18 has created an account, we will terminate it promptly.

What Tellvara does

Tellvara takes a travel request — a destination, dates, budget, and any preferences you provide — and uses the Anthropic Claude AI to generate a structured day-by-day itinerary. Plans include suggested activities, journey legs, accommodation recommendations, cost estimates, and packing lists.

Plans are generated entirely by AI. They are a starting point for your travel research — not a finalised travel plan, a booking confirmation, or professional travel advice.

We do not guarantee that Tellvara will be available at any particular time. The service may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

AI-generated content and travel disclaimer

Plans are informational only. Everything Vara generates — prices, opening hours, availability, entry requirements, safety conditions, visa rules, transport times — is AI-generated and may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. AI can and does make mistakes. Before acting on any information in a Tellvara plan, you are responsible for verifying it independently through official and up-to-date sources.

Tellvara is not a travel agent. Tellvara is a software tool. It is not a licensed travel agent, tour operator, or travel advisor. We do not provide professional travel advice, legal advice, medical advice, or financial advice. Tellvara plans do not constitute any form of professional recommendation.

We do not guarantee accuracy. We make no warranties — express or implied — about the correctness, completeness, reliability, or fitness for purpose of any plan generated by Tellvara.

No booking is made on your behalf. At present, Tellvara does not make bookings of any kind. Plans contain links and suggestions, but clicking a link or following a suggestion does not constitute a booking or a commitment by Tellvara. You are solely responsible for any bookings you make through third-party services.

You are solely responsible for:

• Verifying visa, entry, and vaccination requirements for your destination
• Checking travel advisories and safety conditions
• Confirming prices, availability, and opening times of all suggested activities and accommodation
• Arranging appropriate travel insurance
• Complying with all laws and regulations applicable to your trip

Your account

Registration. You may use Tellvara without an account, subject to the free tier quota. If you create an account, you must provide an accurate email address and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account suspension and termination. We may suspend or terminate your account — with or without notice — if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, abused the service, or engaged in behaviour that harms other users or the integrity of the platform. If you wish to delete your account, email hello@tellvara.com and we will complete your request within 30 days.

Free tier and quota

Tellvara operates a free tier that allows a limited number of plans to be generated without a paid subscription. Anonymous users (not signed in) receive 3 free plans per device and 10 free plan modifications per device; these are independent counters. Registered users have no quota and may generate and modify plans without limit while signed in.

We may change the free tier quota — including reducing or increasing it — at any time and without prior notice. We may also introduce paid plans or a subscription tier in the future. If and when we do, we will communicate this clearly and will not charge you without your explicit consent.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to use Tellvara to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the platform using automated tools
• Access or query Tellvara's APIs directly, other than through the official app or website interfaces, without prior written permission
• Resell, relicense, or commercially redistribute Tellvara-generated plans to third parties
• Submit content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from Tellvara's software
• Use Tellvara in a way that intentionally degrades performance for other users
• Create accounts using false identities or automated means
• Use Tellvara for any purpose that violates applicable law
• Submit messages designed to circumvent AI safety measures or produce harmful, illegal, or abusive content
• Use Tellvara to generate plans that facilitate illegal activities

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, legal action.

Intellectual property

Tellvara's platform. The Tellvara software, codebase, design, branding, and all underlying technology are owned by Jeffrey Koolbergen and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without prior written permission.

Your inputs. You retain ownership of the messages and content you submit to Tellvara. By submitting a message, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that message using our AI infrastructure for the sole purpose of generating your travel plan. We do not store your messages on our servers beyond what is necessary to generate the response.

AI-generated plans. Travel plans generated by Tellvara are produced by AI in response to your inputs. We do not claim copyright in plans generated for you. You are free to use, share, and adapt your generated plans for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Third-party services and links

Tellvara plans may include links to third-party services — including hotels, airlines, and activity providers — for informational or booking purposes. These links are provided as a convenience. Tellvara has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content, availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that third party.

When Tellvara's booking integration becomes available (currently in development and not yet live), separate terms will apply to any transactions made through third-party booking providers. Completing a booking through Tellvara will require a registered Tellvara account. Tellvara will not be a party to those transactions and will accept no liability for third-party booking outcomes.

Limitation of liability

Tellvara is a planning tool, not a travel operator. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI-generated plans.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

No warranties. Tellvara is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

No consequential liability. Tellvara, its operator, and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service — including losses arising from inaccurate AI-generated travel plans, missed flights, failed bookings, denied entry, or reliance on any information generated by Tellvara.

Liability cap. To the extent any liability is found, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these terms or your use of Tellvara will not exceed €100 EUR.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Dutch law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. You can read it at tellvara.com/privacy. By using Tellvara, you agree to the Privacy Policy in addition to these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For minor changes — clarifications, corrections, or updates that do not materially affect your rights — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes — changes that affect your rights, the scope of the service, or our liability — we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

If you continue to use Tellvara after updated terms take effect, you agree to the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may stop using Tellvara and delete your account.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jeffrey Koolbergen from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Tellvara, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at hello@tellvara.com first — we will do our best to resolve it directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

If you are an EU consumer, you also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
